Common questions and what error messages mean.
The steward says it is not configured
An administrator needs to add the OPENAI_API_KEY secret. Check Administration → Settings for the configuration status.
I cannot approve my own request
That is by design. Ask another approver: an organisation admin, an executive, or the project manager.
An action shows Failed
Failed means nothing was applied. Usually the record changed after the action was proposed. Look at the current state and propose it again.
A run is queued but I cannot read its answer
The Workspace Agent API only reports the run's status. Use the Open the ChatGPT conversation link to read the agent's response.
Supervision run errors
401: the access token was rejected. 403: the token cannot use this agent. 404: the trigger ID is wrong. 409: a run for this conversation is already in progress or conflicts. Ask an administrator to check PROJECT_STEWARD_API_TOKEN and PROJECT_STEWARD_API_TRIGGER_ID.
I cannot remove or demote an administrator
An organisation must always keep at least one administrator. Promote someone else first.
Too many requests
You have hit a rate limit. Wait a minute and try again.
The steward says requirements are unverified
That means live research was unavailable or returned nothing citable. Treat anything it says about current laws, permits, standards, roles or costs as general guidance and confirm it with the relevant authority.
I can't delete an organisation permanently
Check each requirement: you must be the owner; the organisation must be archived; the cooling-off period must have ended (the Workspace shows the date); you must have confirmed your password in the last 10 minutes; and you must type the exact name and acknowledge it cannot be undone.
